Wrench Me From This Computer!

This is my third visit of the day and Real Life beckons. Yes, you are staring in the face of procrastination personified. Essays to grade.

But in honor of caucus day, I must give you Michelle Obama. Here, she's speaking as a wife and mother. Recognize those roles, friends? Thanks to another Mary for sending me this.

Mary,

I'm not sure if it's pregnancy hormones, the desire to believe or a combination of both, but I wept watching this video clip.

Thank you. I come here frequently, and each time, there are gems; familial, political, poetic in nature.

Your blog is truly unique and inspiring.

Like you, Mary, I too am procrastinating, that pile of tests beckoning, but sadly, to no avail.

I picked up the first. An Introduction to Social Science. Question: "Define Social Theory."
Answer: "Theoretically, my every Friday night."

I put the pile away.

Oh my, anonymous. That rivals the time I picked up an essay entitled: "How Homosexuality is Destroying Civilization."

I had to read, comment on, and grade that piece o' work.

Good luck!

I am so glad you posted the video. I didn't know much about her and I like her! I am struggling (now that Edwards is out) with which candidate will get my vote. The invective against Hillary is appalling and though I am unhappy with her early support of the war - the crap she is putting up with on the campaign trail really makes me want to just freaking vote for her! Michelle Obama is correct - our daughters are seeing women role models that we never had - but she forgot to mention one that I imagine her daughters spend a good deal of time thinking about - the woman who is running for POTUS against their dad!
I will be delighted no matter which Democratic candidate wins the election - as long as it's a Democrat....
